A big thank you to all the parents that supported the recent Summer Party and Fair, and to all those who helped in any way.

Although ticket sales for the Summer Party on Friday night were a little disappointing, those that came all had a great time, with dancing into the small hours. Although we had to cancel Adam Glover, the support act, due to the lack of ticket sales, he came anyway, and volunteered his services for free, which was a sterling effort on his part. He treated us to a selection of some of what mostly could be called "The Great American Songbook". A quick whip-round on the night meant he didn't go home empty-handed, and one of his objectives of some promotion seemed to be successful - he certainly gave out a lot of cards! While he does work with various bands, as a solo singer with a backing track, he can provide music for smaller-scale events at a more affordable cost than a full band. See http://www.adam-glover.com. Following some memorable after-dinner music, the dance floor filled until the early hours for dancing to Party Siempre (http://www.partysiempre.com). There was even a Peugeot 207 Convertible to be won by throwing dice, unfortunately this was not won, but it meant that the competition could be continued at the Summer fair on the Sunday.

The weather continued to be kind for the Summer Fair on Sunday. There were a range of attractions, including the football competition, the opportunity to win the car, various performances by the school Concert Band, Choir and Rock Band, and the (all too rare) opportunity to relax in the sunshine with some refreshments. As well as a giant inflatable assault course that was very popular, Atlantic Star driving school were giving driving lessons on a circuit set up in the playground to any age that was tall enough! The lesson was based on safety and experience, not trying to find the next Jenson Button!!

The final reckoning of how much the events raised is still in progress, but despite the attendance on Friday night, we should still show a profit - watch this space and thank you again to all the helpers.

Lost Property. A black LG phone  and a black Ipod with white headphones were found and have been handed in to the College secretaries office.
