Car Boot Sale's surprising success!
Sunday's car boot looked set for a washout. At 5.00am, We woke to torrential rain. However, the big advantage that we have, is that even in the rain, we don't need to cancel as all our cars go on the tarmac and not the field. Soon the news filtered through to us that Timperley and Styal's car boot sales had been abandoned. This gave a few later entries. Eventually we achieved just under 50 boots, which is nearly 100 less than our capacity however after some heavy selling of Bacon Sandwiches and an appearance by the sun we still managed to achieve nearly £900 which is fantastic. Thanks to all the helpers including Sam Alford in the kitchen and the Heavy Gang for putting out the cones and parking all the cars at that unsociable time.
